Guided Meditation: The Soul as Your Greatest Asset
Inspired by a passage in A Course in Miracles…
Take a deep breath.
Close your eyes and imagine yourself sitting in the quiet of your inner boardroom.
You are both the CEO and the sole investor of your life.
Today, you're reviewing your portfolio—not of stocks or property,
but of values, priorities, and purpose.
You’ve come to evaluate what you’ve been investing in... and at what cost.
Investment Metaphors & the ACIM Teaching:
"The ego is trying to teach you how to gain the whole world and lose your own soul..."
Imagine the ego as a persuasive venture capitalist.
It pitches you worldly success: accolades, approval, possessions.
But the fine print is clear: the return is temporary,
and the cost is your peace, your awareness of the eternal you.
This is the deal the ego offers—a high-overhead investment that leaves your soul bankrupt.
"To invest without profit is surely to impoverish yourself, and the overhead is high..."
Every time you chase what cannot last,
you’re spending your spiritual capital without seeing a return.
The cost isn’t just in time, money, or stress—
it’s in the erosion of awareness, the forgotten memory of who you really are.
Like investing in a doomed startup,
the ego’s promises burn through your inner resources while producing nothing lasting.
"You cannot sell your soul, but you can sell your awareness of it..."
Your soul is safe—it’s the one asset that cannot depreciate.
But awareness of it can be mortgaged away
every time you see something else as more valuable: status, control, or praise.
It’s not that you’ve lost your soul—it’s that you’ve looked away from it.
You’ve traded divine equity for worldly illusions.
"You will not know it while you perceive something else as more valuable..."
Let this be your inner audit.
What are you valuing today that has no eternal yield?
What are you pouring time and attention into
that profits you nothing in return?
Closing Reflection:
Now, in the stillness of your awareness,
recall the one true investment: love.
Peace. Presence.
The Holy Spirit’s guidance always leads you to reinvest in your soul,
where the dividends are eternal and the overhead is light.
In the silence, recommit your capital—not to the illusions of gain,
but to the truth of being.
Breathe in… and know that your soul was never lost.
It only waits to be remembered.
An affirmation…
"I reclaim my awareness of the soul.
I invest in what is eternal.
I remember what cannot be lost."
